2017 Committee Involvement Information


Ambassadors Club

"Building Business through Connections"

Chairman Gina Warren

Earn Points when for visiting members, attending Ribbon Cuttings and other chamber functions throughout the year. Ambassadors are the Goodwill arm of the Chamber. Rewards are given through recognition and prizes – Ambassador of the Month, Quarter and Year Award. 
8 to 10 Monthly Meetings a year – 30 to 45 minutes each

10 to 20 Ribbon Cuttings and other Chamber functions and 2 to 10 hours total for other special activities and events

Requirements – to maintain an active member status, must attend at least 3 meetings/functions per quarter.

 

Annual Membership and Award Banquet

Chairman Gina Warren

Secures Sponsorship's, Plans and Coordinate the annual membership meeting in January. 

1 to 3 one-hour meetings and Set up day before plus Hosting night of event

 

Beautification and Image

Chairman Edith Elmore

Work to enhance image and appearance of Dunn, Community Clean Ups and Special Projects. 
Present Beautification Awards throughout the year.

8 to 10 one-hour meetings and 2 to 4 hours on special projects annually

 

Boogie on Broad

Chairman Butch Halpin

Secure Sponsorship's, Plan and Coordinate three events.

3 to 5 one-hour meetings and 1 to 6 hours to assist with special assignments and the events


Business Fest

Chairman Willis Godwin

Coordinate Plan and Promote the annual business expo.

2 to 4 one-hour meetings and Set Up the day before and assistance the day of event


Christmas Gala and Auction

Chairman Dana Cochran

Coordinate and Plan annual fundraising event. Secure donations for Auction.

Approximately 5 - one-hour meetings plus Promotion, Set Up and Attendance

 

Education

Chairman Rob Jones

Partner with Dunn Schools and Harnett County School System to address testing and other issues associated
with the Dunn area schools. Present Golden Apple Awards to teachers throughout school year. 

4 to 6 one-hour meetings and 2 to 4 hours special projects

 

Golf Tournament

Chairman Jonathan Murphy

Secure Sponsorship's, Plan and Coordinate and Set up for tournament. 

2 to 4 one-hour meetings and 1 to 6 hours to assist on the day of the tournament

 

Business Impact Planning

Chairman Rodney Stewart

Coordinate and host Member Informational meetings around economic and governmental affairs topics,
i.e. State of City; elected officials; schools; economic forums, etc.    

4 to 6 one-hour meetings and 2-10 hours annually for special activities, meetings and projects

 

Young Professionals Planning

Chairman Hope Tyndall

Coordinate Plan and Promote Successful Business Leaders Forum, Speaker/Social and other events.

2 to 4 one-hour meetings and 2 to 6 hours for special events annually
