The first in the 2010 Boogie Down on Broad Street Concert Series presented by Jernigan's Nursery & Trading Post is set for Thursday, April 22 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and features a free concert by Hip Pocket. They play everything from 60's soul to 80's dance to today's hits in country and rock.
The event includes concessions, children's activities, Nathan-Balloons & Magic, in addition to the concert. It will be held on Broad Street between Wilson and Clinton Avenues in Downtown Dunn. There are three restaurants located within walking distance of the concert and concessions will be available on site.
"We are excited abou this family event and hope everyone will come out to join us for the great music, fun and fellowship," says Sylvia Jackson, Chairman of the Concert Series. This event is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to bring their lawn chairs. In case of rain, the Concert will be held in Dunn Shrine Center located at 211 N Clinton Avenue in Dunn.
The Concert Series presented by Jernigan's Nursery and Trading Post will also feature Billy Scott and the Prophets on May 13th, Sam Goodson, The Separate and Martha Ann Motel on September 9th, and the Band of Oz on October 14th.
